Why choose this glasshouse?

The details that matter most on a structure you're keeping for decades: where it's built, what it's made of, and what happens if something goes wrong.

Wintergardenz 6ft Wide Glasshouse | 4mm Toughened Glass Greenhouse
1

Australian made

Built here, not shipped in.

Wintergardenz manufactures this glasshouse range in Australia, engineered specifically for local wind, sun and humidity rather than adapted after the fact from an overseas design.

2

4mm toughened safety glass

Real glass, real clarity.

Every panel is 4mm toughened safety glass, giving the clearest view and the most traditional glasshouse look available, with the strength of safety glazing rather than a flimsy plastic cover.

3

150 km/h wind rating

Built for storm season.

The frame and glazing system is rated to withstand 150 km/h wind, designed to stay standing through genuine Australian storm conditions, not just a still day in the backyard.

4

25 year warranty

Backed for decades, not seasons.

A 25 year structural warranty covers the frame, and free cancellation is available if you change your mind before we start manufacturing your order, so committing to a made to order structure isn't all-or-nothing.

Still got questions?

Is glass better than polycarbonate?

Glass gives the clearest view and a traditional look. Polycarbonate is lighter, more impact resistant and holds heat well. Choose glass when clarity, longevity and appearance matter most.

Is the glass safety glass?

Yes. The Wintergardenz glasshouse range uses 4mm toughened safety glass.

Do I need a foundation?

A level, stable base is important. Wintergardenz includes an aluminium base system, with foundation mounting options available depending on the site.

Can I collect rainwater from it?

Yes. The range includes an integrated gutter system designed for rainwater catchment.

How hard is assembly?

The kit arrives with labelled parts and colour instructions. Allow a day or two depending on model size, site preparation and help available.

Will it get hot or hold condensation inside?

Glass holds heat more than polycarbonate, and some condensation is normal overnight and in cooler months. Use the two roof vents and sliding doors for airflow on hot days and to manage moisture, rather than sealing the structure up completely.

Do I need council approval to install one?

It depends on your council and the size you choose. Some councils require a permit once a structure passes a certain floor area. Check with your local council before ordering if you're unsure.

What happens if a glass pane cracks?

Contact us if a pane is ever damaged. Because the glasshouse is built from individual glazed panels rather than one moulded shell, a cracked pane is a repair, not a reason to replace the whole structure.

How does this compare to a cheaper DIY poly kit?

A basic poly tunnel from a hardware store is a seasonal cover. This is a permanent, powder-coated aluminium structure with 4mm toughened glass, a 150 km/h wind rating and a 25 year warranty, built to last decades rather than get replaced every few seasons.
